I asked to have an overview of the situation in the US.Originally posted by -Gulalai View Postwellllll i guess it might be a private question... a little... but i mean you eaither wear it or you dont. its just a yes or no question, and if someone feels bad about saying know then that says a lot
Nothing personal about you nor was I going to judge you.
Sometimes you have to ask or you will never know.
Are you rare or there is plenty of muslim girls doing this ?
Do you feel discriminated ?

well i kind of live in an isolated area so there aren't that many muslims around here but the muslim population is definitely growing. I was actually the only girl who wore hijab at the school i went to for a while lol so i got a lot of looks at first and some people ask questions but you could tell everyone was a little nervous to ask but after a wile i dont know if more people are used to it now or if i just dont notice it anymore... maybe a little bit of both.
As for across the US i dont really know... there are those who wear it and there are those who dont... and each for different reasons like you might find some hijabis who wear it because they've been told to do so since they were young, or you might find some non hijabis who know they sould wear it but are hesitant to do so, and so on.
As for racism and stereo type, well of course there will always be some of that. When i go out to the store or something i think people are always a bit surprised that i dont have an accent or something especially if they just heard me speak pashto to my mom LOL. I think you get more of the racism in the bigger cities even though they're more diverse because in small towns you might get stared at but people are too afraid to say anything :P

That's very very rare. I think there are less than 10 private muslim schools. The first muslim school opened in 2003.Originally posted by -Gulalai View Postare there not any Muslim schools?
I always see Indonesian hijabis when I take the train. They usually are a group of 30 hijabis.

Also, Turkish women. I always have the impression that they are chocked up.

at the sprint store yesterday, i saw this nice looking hijabi white girl white some thug looking black dude who was talking to himself. weird ish. There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
