There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

      • I told y'all hating niggas that the Spurs can't stop Lebron James. The Heat would have won game 1 also if his leg didn't cramp. Heat in 5, at most 6. All games will be close though

          • ^Kaafir. Hmmm. Not sure about that.

You are supposed to keep an animal comfortable and pampered if you like before sacrifice. Often they will be the best/strongest most prized animal. Washing its face must be an extension of that. I know in the Panjab they dress up their Qurbani animals in beads and yeah, I've heard about Henna and eyeliner too.

            • watching people base their beliefs on things that one wouldn't normally do themselves can be extremely astonishing and inspiring. i remember the first time i walked in to this extremely well known shrine (that should not be named) once with the intention of seeing the interior design of it and seeing this very old blind man sweeping it's floors and weeping at the same time. to think that they genuinely believe that if they sweep hard enough or cried hard enough, kissed the feet of an elephant shaped version of god, their wish would be granted or that they would be forgiven for their mistakes. that they have walked through life all their lives with that belief in their hearts and have endured all the hardships one can come across in a life time and still not lose their faith..

because they know its the same old story, like american's humiliating afghans. we are so used to it that its pretty normal by now and our leaders are fine with the status quo.

I will wait for more news before I form any real opinions. Its like what the news said about Falluja and terrorists taking over, turned out it was mostly Sunni tribes and not so much the headline grabbing AQ, doesn't make for good headlines but it was the truth ultimately.

As for ISIL, I don't like them nor do I want to see them in power anywhere. Their fight is legit but they are cruel and do not follow Islamic norms.

No doubt they are cruel and take things to the extreme, but Ali Ibn Abi Talib was also cruel towards his adversaries.

But if you think about it, God would not grant a so called Muslim group this much victory in a short period of time.

It's weird, but you have to think hard about them and what the Prophet PBUH said what would happen in the region near the final hour.
