I dont what exactly is the term for tug/tugmaar/tugzan but it means the person who do "tugi". Nowadays it is spread like endemic in pakistan and even through various accounts we came to know about their various ways of attempts and taticts, still many people get decieved...some are professionals and other do it for fun.
Today my younger brother came to me with happy face that there is a phone call from PTCL (pakistan telecomunication authority) saying that we have won a prize of 2 crore rupees, come and talk to operator. I was like wtf and went to recieve call. I checked the number it was not a number of a customer, only four numbers. Then i listened him to the operator, he was speaking in a very professional tone like how phone operator talks. He was saying that you have won 2 crore rupees through lucky draw...i interrupted him and said "great news but we have never not participated in any draw , how come"...he said that PTCL decided to have a lottery of all the PTCL numbers, and congrats you were winner, our team would come to your home tomorrow and we would take interview and would broadcast it on Geo channel...i said "ok where and how i would be able to recieve this money, should i come to PTCL office to fill form or some thing" ...he said you dont need to go to PTCL office, tomorrow we would come to your home.
Now comes the turning poin, so far every thing was going smooth, i did'nt suspect any thing. But then he said that in order to claim 2 crore prize i have to submit 15 telenor mobile cards of 100 rupees each (by telling scratch card no to him on phone)...when i listened to that, my ears rose in suspiction..i said "if we have won a prize of 2 crores then why i have to submit mobile cards to you on phone and why telenor cards, why not PTCL cards"...he said few days ago telenor has become partner of PTCL...I said "why a mobile company would become a partner of telephone company, if you give me two minutes, can i confirm this news of lottery on internet on official site of PTCL...He said "dear sir you are wasting our time, submit 15 telenor card as soon possible to me, it is compulsory otherwise the prize would not be awarded.
Now it was confirmed to me that i am a dealing with a very clever taagmaar, lol. I said to him" excuse me but i dont have telenor cards, i would submit it at PTCL office today or tomorrow and there i would do further confirmations"..he was now losing patience and said "buy cards from shop now , hold the phone i would wait"....i said "i would call you after few minutes, let me confirm this offer from PTCL office it doesnt make any sense that i have just won 2 crore rupees without applying and that i have to tell you scratch card number of 15 telenor cards"....his tone was harsh this time "if you are not submitting cards then your prize is cancelled"...i said "****od muje bewakoof samaj raka he, ghalat jaga try ki he, mera uncle ISI may he , tumara phone trace kar k tume maza sekain ge , just wait"...he shut the phone.
I wasted lot of his balance and i am proud of it...He was not greedy, he was just try to eat 1500 rupees through cards. There are instances when people lose lakhs of rupees..many tagmaars use beautiful women to to trick people. I.e if a beautiful female tell you that you have won some thing then people can be easily tricked.
