Yeah we had also such names like kaka, lala, mama but now a days no one use such names. Now a days like bhai jan, school bacha, jan lala, gran bacha, khog dada, khan lala, drund dada, gul dada, khaista lala, and many more such names are used. In our areas you can't call an elderly person with his name no matter who he is lol.

^ Lol ptsh my siblings just call me by my name ^.^ I would freak out if i woke up one day and heard them call me something else :S
          And they say
She's in the Class A Team
          Stuck in her daydream
          Been this way since 18
          But lately her face seems
          Slowly sinking, wasting
          Crumbling like pastrie

i have two brothers few years younger, and they have always called me lala, or lala jan. to this day they call me lala, and i know one smokes but never in front of me
no one in my family calls older by their name unless referring and even then, tror, kaka, etc is added.

our way of adab i have taught my son too.

ow why don't you say that first, becuase you said they call you gran bacha=beloved boy, that is weird when someone younger that you cals you a boy but now you say that you are the youngest thats kind of make sence now.

                        they call me hercules. lol.
regardless of our age, we have always been more like buddies than siblings which is the way i like it. i would rather have my siblings have a friendly relationship with me than call me something that sounds artificial or forced. sometimes they call me shorty. lol.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

                            "badi"
Some of you might have heard this word, other pashtuns use it as a title for marwats. But actually in marwato pashto it is more or less equalent for lala and is used for mashars of any age..e.g if the name of an old man is aslam, then i would call him 'aslam badi' out of respect....
