What's the point of this video? Did the prophet (pbuh) dance before going to war? Is war and shedding blood something to be happy cheer about? The prophet (pbuh) prayed for his enemies to come to the straight path and leave their evil ways so he (pbuh) didn't have to go to war with them. War is sometimes necessary but it should always be the last resort.
These people aren't even fighting occupiers or dajjal's soldiers, they are fighting fellow muslims and pashtuns . How the hell is that something to be celebrated. If you don't consider shias muslim then you are an extremist and going against ijma of the scholars of ahlul sunnah who have declared shias (twelvers and zaidis) to be muslims. ( see Amman declaration). This behaviour is dispecable and it gives support to the claims of shoa hazara persecution at the hands of talibs. If they don't care about fellow pashtuns, why would
they they care for other minorities. This sort of behaviour and attitude is at the heart of our problem.

More than 1,500 people have died in sectarian clashes after 2003 in Kurram agency alone. And who is benefiting from this? Who is ultimately losing? How can you tell a radical Shia from a "normal" Shia?

This tribal in-fighting has also led to the Pakistani army establishing a semi-permanent presence in the region. This in-fighting makes the Pashtun tribes of the region weak and susceptible to the aid of scheming foreigners, which in this case are al-Qaeda and the Pakistani army.

Contrary to what the OP is trying to portray here, the Sunni-Shia tribes of Kurram have lived in peace since time immemorial. It wasn't a paradise but this recent sectarianism was only recently very alien to the local tribes.

This Sunni-Shia divide belongs to the Arab world. Let them sort it out. Let them turn the Tigris and Euphrates red with fratricidal blood. As it is, we have enough on our plate.

The religious forces, unlike those who uphold Pakhtunwali, do not prioritise the interests of the local tribals at the cost of their international and regional political and ideological goals. So, it does not matter much for the religious forces, Shia or Sunni, if Kurram is burning and bathed in blood every single day as a consequence of their activities.

It is in this state-imposed context that the people in Kurram, like elsewhere in FATA, could not do much to stop the jihadi activities on their soil. The state encouraged religious bigotry and damaged the sectarian harmony in Kurram. The progressive, secular and Pakhtun nationalist forces of Kurram seemed to have been overwhelmed by the rising tide of religious extremism backed by the state. It is not uncommon to find people in Kurram who regret having done nothing to stop the gradual slippage of this Agency into the hands of Shia and Sunni jihadi groups. Commenting on this situation, a Sunni Kurram tribal leader said, “Many people, both Shia and Sunni, in Kurram are pro-socialism, secular and nationalist in outlook. But I regret to say that we did nothing to save our Kurram from slipping into the state-nurtured religious quagmire since the 1980s. We were nothing in terms of resources for the state and non-state powers behind the religious groups, but we could have given an alternative vision to our young generation. But we failed to give that alternative. Secular and progressive Shias and Sunnis from Kurram are responsible for this lethal inaction that ultimately contributed to the current vicious circle of death and destruction in Kurram that we see today.”
Daily Times - Leading News Resource of Pakistan
"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".

There appears to be a white shahada flag flying from one of the trucks and certainly you are familiar with what this generally means when used by Pashtuns.

id love to see pashtuns as enthusiastic to educate their kids, build their economy, and promote peace with their own instead of fighting other pashtuns.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

There is a sahih hadith in Sahih al Bukhari ,

where the prophet (pbuh) and his wife Aisha (rad) watched together a show of sudanese fighters cheering, dancing and showing some show fights. And the prophet (pbuh) said go go you fighters of...

if you need the reference i can share it with you.

This video shows that pashtuns are a warrior nation who does not obey any other except God and his messenger, and they do not fear death.

Abu Bakr Al Siddiq ( rad) fought fellow muslims who were apostates, and his successors aswell.

And shia from Kurrma are pretty radicals (not all) but those who use weapons to fight any others there, but they failed to see that the Islamic emirate are and will support these muslims who are being threatend.

But this year, the soldiers of islamic emirate mediated and made some peace deals, now this regions has overcome calmness.

Randolph. You are are very wise man.

The thread title and the intention behind it does not rest easy with me. I haven't bothered looking at the video. Given a choice I'd rather look at a wall.

well it is true that shias in kurram agency have banded with the government just because they are shias and even have got armed by the governement into attacking their own pashtun brethern.

but than again i dont think this video is from kurram agency rather somewhere in khost.
ive posted it a while ago.

i dont knwo what makes randolph think that pashtuns dont want to do those things he mentioned.
i think randolph thinks pashtuns have been living in peace and were just being ignorant, lazy and naturally backward.

I wish to say that I completely understand and relate to the sentiment behind tor khan's comment and both understand and agree with randolph's comment. I am not one of those people who blindly follows and supports a specific person, group of people or ideology propagated by anyone. At the same time, I feel that I can completely understand Afghanistan2010's views on many controversial subjects. All of this put me in a strange position. In regards to this I should also say, just to make clear, that I personally do not celebrate the death of or war against other Muslims regardless of how I view their personal interpretation of Islam. However, we can see in graveyard's comments that we may or may not always KNOW the entire truth and the intricate details behind the story when we read or watch media segments. We generally are exposed to only a small portion of what is, in reality, a complex and multi-dimensional situation. In simple terms, it could be viewed the same as someone who only reads the final chapter of a book but assumes they know the entire story of what lead to that end. This is why I am very slow to make absolute judgements on many situations.

                        salaam, this is subhan.
i left this forum, but after seeing this thread, i had to say some things.

having lived in parachinar for a little less than a year, and being descended (in part) from the zazai tribe, i want to tell you what this "conflict" is all about.

this "beef" is mainly between the mangal and the turi, and it started out as a
"resistance" to the taliban rule, by the shia tribes. previously, these tribes lived in relative peace.

the major tribes in kurram are, in order of population: turi (shia), mangal (sunni), zazai (sunni), bangash (both sunni and shia), and para (sunni). all these tribes are karlani in origin, and the zazai and turi are very closely related.

the zazai and sunni bangash are allied with the mangal and the shia bangash are allied with the turi.

                        here are some videos:

tere mangal khaiwas jang - YouTube

                        - mangal tribe going to "sangar" (battleground).

kurram agency mangalaa teeng sha part 2 - YouTube

                        - the turi POV.

kurram agency mangalaa teeng sha...! - YouTube

                        - the aftermath; loss of many pashtuns.

an example of the ongoing youtube "war":

Gobazana Mangal Zendabad I m frm Gobazana. We will shagg all ****ing Shia and da ****ing old women that we brought frm khewas **** all turi and Shia of kurram agency. ****ing dogs

i don't care about your friend's father. i want to know what kind of a human being or a muslim dances before going out to kill other people. if you are what a muslim or an afghan is supposed to be then i am ashamed of calling myself a muslim, afghan or a pashtana. you are an ignorant narrow minded stain on the name of pashtuns and if anyone points that out to you, it's because they are getting paid by isi or are simply Godless to begin with. i have no problem with anyone from any corner of the world, of any religious background bombing the **** out of your type. i don't.
not only are you worthless to a society yourself, you also don't allow others get far on their own either.
