I was referring to misinformation which is spread in the media?

Many studies have been done on sexual degradation of women in the West by Western Academics. If you are unaware of this, you should then research it
      This is not my opinion

i don't need to do research ghundal, i live here, in australia. i also know that women are mostly educated and are free to make choices.some make some very dumb choices and some are manipulated by ignorant males.
there are a lot of problems between the sexes, throughout the world. it is not just in the west, paedophilia is not just in the west, pornography, child abuse, rape, are all, not just in the west.

OMG I saw it on the news it just terribel.

But what do you expect from the northerners especialy tajiks, it really common there to treat there women worser than animals. The always talk **** about pashtun how hard and strict we are, but at least we don't do such wagshi acts like this. Herat and Mazar are worse she was 15 some girls there are 12 or 13 years old that are being married to an old man. An most of the times the parents of the girls are not even poor, they just want to get rid of the girl.
Funny thing is the guy who started this topic was complaining about Pashtuns that they are so bad in the other topic and wanted a dessolusion of Afghanistan. Look at your own ethnicity, gaar.

this kind of in cruelty happens everywhere, remember the story of the austrian father who kept his daughter in the basement for pleasure?

it is part of human nature that needs checking. it went unchecked during jahiliya and islam came down amongst the most jahil - the one's who burried their daughters.

back to point, this abuse, exploitation and manipulation happens with decay of many factors: economic, moral, religious, ethical, social . . .needs constant checking, need to be on sirat al mustaqeem.

the guardians (parents, husbands, mullas, police, courts) need to be checked even more, amongst them are evil one's too.

Im surporised that luffy didnt think this through since he grew up in pashtun village, typically in pashtun rurals society, this kind of crime is unheard of. If something like this happens, the villagers would tear the person apart. ghyrat comes into question if they dont act.
Im not saying this because I think pashtun are better but it is fact. Its me that always brings forth the harsh pashtunwali laws that I condemn.
Frankely speaking i did'nt know whether baghlan is farsiwan or pashtun..and i have no knowledge about farsiwan culture. These type of events can happen every where but you are right i have never heard of such bizarre treatment of a pashtun wife in atleast my area though domestic violence occurs but not scale that wife is burn alive or acide throwing .
But if you understand my version of pashto then read my posts again, i did'nt comment about husband's family, i talked about reason which lead to such incident. I blamed the girl's parents for incident as they probably gave their daughter in marraige to that family without giving importance to the consent of their daughter......you cant deny this.
In my area girls are even wedded at age of 15 or 16 but i said that 15 year old girl is immature like child...these were my personal thoughts, i do not have to speak on behalf of pashtuns all the time.

luffy, how can you blame the parents for how this girl was treated? i am 100% certain that the perpetrators of this crime, did not come to the parents and say " we will be whoring the girl out but if she refuses, we will torture her and imprison her in the toilet."
even if there was consent to the marriage, from the daughter, this can still occur.

While DZJ naively thinks Im a pashtun that thinks my ethnc group is better or superior, on the contrary it is because our society is structured diffferently, we are human being just like they are.
Fasiwan society is structured differently than pashtun. They are mostly feudal while we are tribal. In tribal societies such as ours what my brother, cousin, or even distant cousin does is directly reflective of me, this bond is unbreakable in tribal societies, it is extremely strong. The extended family is still family. A kali(village) is like a big family. If a member is doing something wrong, we all come tegether and correct it. I'm sure when you become a doctor, your whole village will feel proud that a member has become a doctor. And if a member becomes a thief, they feel ashamed and is obligated to act to correct it because the bond is strong. A tribe is an extended family. You are your brothers keeper.

In feudal societies like in northern afghanistan or even Panjab. The tribes and family alliances and kinship have broken down. The bonds are not as strong. If you ask a farsiwan what tribe or clan they are from, they will be confused, they only know of their immediate family and cousins, when it becomes too extended, it becomes less important to them. If an extended family member is doing something wrong, while they feel ashamed, they are not obligated to act because the bond is week. The bad act is not directly reflective on them. So when this man was doing this crime, his extended family would condemn such actions but feel as though it is non of their business.

As far as your concern of girls being married off too young, that has more to do with financial reason than anything else.
girls or women in poor societies are married early because mostly if parents marry the girl off, the liability to take care of her would be releived. It does not mean they love her any less, but if people are asking for the girls hand in marriage, they eventually are going to act and the poorer the family is they more quickly they are going to act. While the parents can never know 100%what kind of man they are marrying their daughter off too, what people in poor countries look at often in men is if they can financially support their daughter. That is why you see many young girls married off to much older men, because older men are more finanialy solid than young men.
Im pretty sure when you become a doctor, you wont have any problems finding a bride, young or old not because you are gentleman but mainly because parents would be looking at you as someone that has secured his financial future and thus would be able to take care of their daughter.
