Mahsud has given some good words on this issue , i very appreciate his approach,
in west the woman is not a symbol of shyness and modesty,but a symbol of lust and you know the rest....they talk much about sexappeal.
So there can't be any such thing like friendship,they see the female gender as only good for one thing.

I had so many female friends in University and I never felt like doing anything sexual with them. Its called being a rational and modest individual. Now, being modest in the eyes of a Saudi Clerics, is different to for say a person living in the Yorkshire moors in the UK. To a Saudi Cleric, driving will reduce the number of available virgins, while in the West, driving will make it easier for women to pick up their kids from school and do the shopping.

When you live in a society, whereby women are considered the cause of all problems, get told most people in hell will be women,a womans word is half of a man because according to them women are natural liars, and the only thing they are good for is cleaning the kitchen then WHAT WILL YOU EXPECT!

Women in desert societies are treated like crap so hence you get the mentality from the men passed down.

This man talks about how lustful women are and how they can cause sin, but if that's the case, then what about MEN and HOMOSEXUALITY, your telling me Mullah Saab, men working in Male only workplaces never indulged in some "Batty boy loving" now how will you avoid that, by looking down when you see a suspect homo????

If you are raise on values that respect women instead of them being blamed for everything then you respect women.

Faye you ever wonder why there are so many rapes in the Muslim world and forced marriages?

Its because the peoples menalities are never reformed. No wonder Pakistan has one of the most highest levels of Porno viewers and Afghanistan one of the highest suicide rates of women.

Its because these Clerics keep the masses in a state of fear.

But in the West they dont get killed for failing to meet an applicant for marriage(honor Killing), in most cases the rapist is thrown into jail and justice is served, while in those communities a woman can be thrown into jail for "Moral crimes" for not producing four male witnesses, and rest assured Afghanistan and Pakistani jails are packed full of women for "Moral crimes", something very different from the West.

I am not speaking about the West, I am speaking about extreme forms of gender segregation in the Religionous communities that leads to men hating women and women being seen as objects of lust and sin.

Your a westerner who has travalled in the Muslim world, 9/10 they will treat you as a guest and a foreigner, give you food and put on a fake smile, go and live in those societies as an open minded woman and you will get a dose of reality.

women are the baddies in christianity, hinduism and most of the old myths i have been reading about. to say there are only fake smiles is another great pf generalisation. do you mean to say that muslims are not capable of heartfelt emotions towards non muslims? that would be sad and i don't agree with you.
i understand some of your points there but you can't just blame behaviour like abuse of women on relgious teachings.

It can be only in rare cases - where really people teat echother like sisters and brothers - but this people are of a rare maturity - how society is formed now an how education is performed it is almost impossible!

the stats don't always speak for themselves. a lot of societies have too much shame connected to sex abuse and rape and the woman getting the blame for being assaulted. a lot of these crimes are not reported. in the west not all of those crimes are reported, also.

There are crimes like incest and similiar which are not known or very rare in our societies but common in europe ...
