    Summer 2010

    Greetings to everyone,

    What are your plans for this summer?
    It's really boring to stay home in summers and do nothing fun.

    I am going to London then Germany for family visit. How about you guys?

          InshaAllah I will be doing my industry placements as the final assessment in my degree.

          Though, I do not overlook the fact that your summer is our winter ... so my summer plans are for December.

            nothing much... staying put inshallah in california and hitting the beaches... going out with my family inshaAllah... i had a plan to go to europe and visit family there but i have to save my vacation (and money) for winter when i go for a month vacation... inshaAllah

Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
