not wide enough scope.
kabuli plau is number one followed shorwa and afghan dodai. bolani with spinach is the best.
iranian starter, noon-o-paneer-o-sabzi, especially tarre (chives?), iranian noon sangak. their kebabs are great too
ME humus with tahina and hubz, babaganush.
the lebanese salads, tabouleh so full of green leaves chopped up
all are very healthy, not a sniff of curry powder garam masala type spices.
pakistani paratha with yoghurt or tea is so nice and filling.
western food never completely satisfies me, i dont know how people eat McBKburgers and subways.

pakistani paratha is actually Punjabi paratha..though of course it might be eaten elsewhere to around the region.Originally posted by torkham View Postnot wide enough scope.

Sabzi is OK aparently. What about dhall (daal)? Thats good too - for those Pashtuns who go on about "dhaal-eater"...Let me say it here dhaal is great...and some dhall has more protein than meat..and is complete with some dairy foods.
