A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

We humans are much stronger than we think we are. We have the ability to adapt to most, if not all, situations and environments, even if we are afraid of letting ourselves be placed in such situations because we think we won't survive.Originally posted by sheenkay View Postwhat would happen if u marry at the end of the day with some1 who have 1 quality or none of the above? How will adjust and act? Coz im sure there isnt a perfect person yet and in afghans lol im not disrespecting afghans girls n boys
But to answer your questions, I believe it would depend on the personality of both individuals in the marriage. Some of us can handle any type of people; others of us can't, or maybe for just a short while. It would also depend on which qualities the partner end up having and which ones lacking.
Also, I think that if people are given a chance to talk to their potential partners before marriage is settled/arranged, they will be able to better decide if marrying someone who is missing certain qualities that one dreamt of initially is worth it or not. If not, then (if the family/society) permits, the individuals may not be bound to the proposal; otherwise, I'm more than sure they'll figure out a way to settle their extreme differences or to live with their disappointments.
