Well, sometimes, yeah. Some of my family members for example say very ridiculous things about Pakistanis, even about their Pukhtoons. And when I defend Pukhtoons of Pakistan and say they are one of us and we shouldn't make fun of them, then they will say things like; 'Thank God you are already married, otherwise you would have made a Dhalkhor our relative.' Unfortunately the current generation in my family doesn't understand much about politics surrounding Pukhtoons and nor want to. And some distance relatives of mine sometimes used to moan that I should learn to speak proper Dari since I married a Dari speaker, I feel compelled making them keep quiet as they despite of living in Pekhawer for decades don't even utter a word of Pukhto. I end up regretting it and they end up regretting arguing with me even more than myself.Originally posted by AfghanladySo your olders talk against Pashto or Pashtuns?Gar Jahanum Sakhtam Ferdaws Ham Mesazamat

Another funny topic...
What is the weirdest thing about you? I'm sure some of you have many.
I shall start:
I have a metal plate and 7 screws in my leg. It goes off at airports! Well..I hope it doesn't anymore. But it did before.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
