due to the fact that there appears to still be a world shortage of pain relievers, especially in the poorer countries, i would also suggest to the president of afghanistan to make the opium trade into a legal trade, for pharmaceutical purposes.
this was done in the 70s, in turkey, changing the illegal trade in opium to a legal one.

or what's a mate in ozzie? fe-mate?
don't you get it?
Once I abolish the army....there is no debate on the legality of opium.

demoted is going down a rank...
however, right now in afghanistan there is no ranking so why play with the facade?
besides...ur boy amir's policies are exactly the same as karzais.
but whatever... ppl don't like change even though they ask for it. change is dangerous ..especially for old people.

Originally posted by Amir al Ghaznavi View PostIf I was President of Afghanistan, I would enact the following policies
1. Meet with the Pakistani military and intelligence leaders, and agree to a strategic agreement and understanding with them so we can have clarity on our partnership.
The basis of this agreement would be as follows:
- No support from Afghanistan for any nationalist or criminal elements of Pakistan
- Renouncing any and all land claims east of the Durand
- Elimination of any relations with India outside of strict economic trade, which must be security sensitive, to re assure our Pakistani neighbours
- In return, Pakistan agrees to ending any and all support for any anti Afghan elements
- Co operation on drug trafikking and ending the black market economy of the Pashtun tribal border areas
- Co operation in repatriating all Afghan refugess
- Possible Free trade agreement, depending on its economic feasibility
Karzai did that just last week

A bit ridiculous since in order to do impose a tax on "elites" you would have to identity them as such by having them report their income. It's also a legal conundrum since in effect you would be "legalizing crime".2) In exchange for legal immunity and maintaining their economic positions, all warlords/narcos/new elite are subject to a 50% tax on all their assets and resources
Mullah Omar ...3) I would change the name of Afghanistan to Ariana
4) I would declare the state to be an Islamic Emirate, with me as the Emir
5) I would take down all pictures of Massoud from Kabul and any govt institution anywhere in the country.
President Karzai opens Afghanistan exhibition at the British Museum. « davidfranchi6) I would build statues, masoleums and squares to honour all of our heroes from all backgrounds and eras. This will educate the people on our rich history and identity
Already happening in Afghanistan ...7) For administrative purposes, I would divide the country into 10 provinces.
- Helmand (Helmand, Farah, Nimruz)
- Herat (Herat, Badghis)
- Balkh (Balkh, Jowzjan, Samangan, Sor E Pol, etc)
- Bamian (Dey Kundi, Bamian, Ghor)
- Badakhshan (Qunduz, Badakhshan, Takhar, Parwan, Panjsher etc)
- Nangarhar (Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, Nuristan)
- Ghazni (Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Logar)
- Paktia (Paktia, Paktika, Khost)
- Kandahar (Kandahar, Uruzgan, Zabul)
- Kabul
Economic development would be conducted on a regional basis, with the focus on developing the main city centre within each of those regions. The idea, is to increase the urbanization of the country by focusing on 10 regional capitals.
8) Education would be divided into Primary, Secondary and Post Secondary. The quality and availability of all levels of education would be equal between Pashto and Farsi. Every region would have a Pashto and Farsi school (P,S,PS). Uzbeki, Pashai, Nuristani, Baloch etc would be available as courses in their respective areas.
9) I would reform the education system to emphasize science, math and i.t. English would be a mode of instruction in both the Farsi and Pashto universities
10) I would create dozens of technical schools across the country, so our people can be trained in trades like plumbing, landscaping, electrician etc to help rebuild the nation
11) Massive infrastructure development in all the urban centres, with a focus on Kabul. This means hundreds of thousands of new homes, corresponding roads, a sewage system, fully accessibly electricity etc
under the Karzai administration...
even says on wikipedia..
Karzai's plan too...12) Kabul would be a fully bilingual province. Federal jobs are only open to bilingual individuals.
13) I would conclude a Strategic partnership agreement with Iran, whereby we cooperate closely on repatriating Afghan refugees, cooperate on ending the drug trade, pledge full non interference with one another, cooperate on cultural exchanges, and pledge to never allow an external power to use our soil against Iran
14) I would declare Ariana to be 100% neutral in all capacities, and pledge complete non interference in all neighbours affairs. I would withdraw the nation from any security pacts.
15) I would disband the Afghan army, and shift it away from a standing conventional army, to a strictly defensive guerilla army. I would keep a token air force and tanks/artillery for domestic security purposes. But I would remove any offensive capabilities of our army to re assure our neighbours. Instead I would raise a 40,000 guerilla army, with 100,000 reservists, broken down into small units, that would be exclusively trained to engage in guerilla warfare against an occupying force (shouldnt be hard). This would be much cheaper to maintain than a modern conventional army that requires much greater resources and logistics
16) I would cut the number of security forces and govt employees (civil servants, teachers etc) drastically, retain the quality ones, and double their pay.
17) No foreign soldiers on our soil whatsoever
agreed.
gulf countries do that too..18) Automatic death penalty for any murder, treason or rape
19) I would incorporate all ulema and madrassahs under strict state supervision
20) Sign deals with corporations to begin work on our natural resources, but ensuring that local development and training of Afghans in engineering, excavation etc so we retain control of our resources
I would reign for 15 years or so to ensure the foundation is set. Then I would allow for the formation of federal and regional political parties, while remaining as head of state in a ceremonial manner
Chavez...

you cant point at generic Karzai policies (opening a museum) and say my policy is like Karzais, ignoring the major differences (Karzai supports an American presence, is pro Indian, wants long term bases etc)
in essence the few small good policies Karzai has done, and the major policies we have sharp differences
that does not mean Karzai=Amir
As for the tax, I didnt mean issuing Marshal Fahim a T-4, smarten up bruh.
It means, "hey warlord, we want half your land, cars, and assets for a state fund to build homes for the orphan"
