Salaam u Alaikum Forum,
Pa Bismillah.
This reminder comes from a concern raised here about posting personal photographs to a public domain forum such as PashtunForums.
Please be reminded that PashtunForums is part of the internet and not a closed community. Members and non-members have access to the images on the public board and these can make their way to other sites simply by an act of copy/paste. It is important to bear in mind that once you've posted up even a single picture of yourself on the internet, you've effectively put it into the public domain and it can be treated by some as public "property".
This continues to be an inherent dilemma with the internet and may contradict particular Pashtoon viewpoints on the use of personal images in the public domain which cause embarrassment. Sadly, a lot of activity on the internet is unscrupulous and to err towards caution is sensible. (This would also pertain to the disclosure of personal details that may be used to identify individuals.)
Members are therefore reminded to exercise caution when using images, both personal and in the public domain for Avatars/Signatures and general posting.
If Members have any concerns with images etc. please direct these to the Moderator/Admin team.
Pa dranawey.
If after reading that you are okay with sharing your photos then go ahead.
As for myself, if you really want to see me as a kid then send me a PM and i'll consider it.
