Pakistanis Admire Kashmiris (29%) And Pathans (26%) For Their Good Looks: GILANI

    Islamabad, March 21, 2011
According to a Gilani Research Foundation survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 29% all Pakistanis believe that Kashmiris are the most good looking people and 26% consider Pathans to
have the best looks in the country, 45% have given other responses. In a survey, a nationally representative sample of men and women from across the country were asked the following question: “In your opinion which people in Pakistan are the most good looking?” Kashmiris and Pathans stood out as admired to be the most good looking by all linguistic groups in the country. On a country wide level 29% consider Kashmiris to be the best looking while 24% consider Pathans to be best looking.

The figure varies from province to province. The appreciation for the looks of Pathans is 21% in Punjab, 15% in Sindh, 50% in Balochistan and 64% in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa. The admiration for the looks of Kashmiris is 31% in Punjab, 40% in Sindh, 21% in Balochistan and 4% in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa. The ‘others’ figure includes mostly the people of own province in the respective provinces.

Very interesting academic survey conducted by the Gilani Research Foundation.

              hmmm

there are no ethnic kashmiri's in pakistan apart from few settled one

people of Azad kashmir are not ethnic kashmiri they are more of ethnic jammu and close to northern punjab, just for political sake they have named it has Azad kashmir rather then azad jammu, they don't even speak kashmiri, this people are more close to doda and other district's of indian jammu and speak same pothwari language

if they have included indian part then i can think of kashmiris in this poll

There are 200000-300000 ethnic kashmiries in pakistan who migrated from Srinagar, also i believe generally Gigit-baltistan area of pakistan is also included as kashmir, that area is known for its beauty in pakistan

Punjabies come in all shapes, colours and sizes, i have seen punjabies who can easily fit in Sri lanka because of their darkskin, but then there are others who i have seen look like kashmiries or pashtuns

^ then why does india call gilgit balistan as occupied kashmir??? also again there are many ethnic kashmiries in pakistan who migrated to pakistan many years ago. even in Karachi where i lived they spoke Koshur their home language

Also about shapes, sizes, colors, generally the more south you go in south asia people get darker, for example in a place like Kerala and Tamil nadu there are hardly any kashmiri looking people. The northern tip of south asia, places like Gilgit baltistan/Hunza etc... most people are fairskinned and you wont find any tamil/Keralan looking people there.

^ i am not colour obsessed i am neither dark or light as you can see in my pic, but you implied that everyone in south asia looks the same which is obviously wrong.

                              btw are you south indian?
