  • Suggestions and Idea's for an Article.

I had suggested a meaningful quotes section to a magazine who said that they were interested in the idea. So they asked me to shape it into an article. The idea that i had intially thought of, was more a quote of the issue thing. But since, they asked me to shape it into an article i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how i can turn a meaningful quotes concept into an article.

    All suggestions welcome.

Would it be a one-off article or is it going to be a regular piece?

    Also which magazine?

You can start with.....hmmm, what do people need quotes for?

If I may write down my experience, I always searched for quotes about a certain topic and actually ended buying the book of the person who´s quote had impressed me.

I think in general people read quotes by historians, politicans, famous people etc. to get the essence of their experience in life, their philosophy or their way of life in a comprimated and short form.

Quotes can be inspirational, make you search for more insight and knowledge.....it definitly made me more curious in general.

Hope my words were a small help.
            The only constant is change.

It's hard to write an article about a bunch of unrelated quotes.

You'll have to find a common theme.
Maybe find quotes form people who struggled for freedom, for their rights and what they percieved to be just causes. They could have done this in the form of peaceful protests or violent insurgencies. If you do it this way I suggest you get a range of quotes from arround the world. You could mention Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Benjamin Franklin, Martin Luther King, Ho Chi Minh, Ghandi, Che Guevara, Malcolm X, Saladin etc

edit: although it's a teen magazine...I doubt they would have heard of half these people lol but the main thing is to find a common theme

is the magazine for girls or both genders?
And in general what sort of stuff does it talk about?
