why hindus are hated?

I generally get a feeling from a lot of non indians that us hindus are hated. especially in muslims countries, why is that?? what did we do to be hated?

not me. i love being in india amongst hindus, muslims, buddhists, christians or whatever religion. not with the british wannabes though. real indians, lol.

pakis obviously hate hindus, thats nothing new, but the hate is also in other countries, i traveled in arab countries the hate was there too, also i have seen some iranian/afghan forums which have a lot of hate for hindus. even in ancient times hindus were hated by muslim (central asians)

not all pakistanis hate hindus, only some extremist religious type might. There are some 3 millions hindus in pakistan too

hated in muslim countries? i dont think u have enough of a presence in muslim countries to be acknowledged by the locals to be hated.

one idea may be because of the kashmir issue, but i doubt many muslims are too informed about that to have any true opinion. it takes a backseat to palestine.

it may also have to do with the fact that hindus are pagans, but then again muslims are not taught to hate pagans, only to look down on the ideology.

so basically, i think the muslim thoughts on hindus are no different than the hindu thoughts on muslims.

generally speaking (i know , i am not supposed to generalize), indian hindus and their muslims are very rude and arrogant. sikhs are much nicer.

that is not true in india dj. the general population is very well mannered, friendly and helpful. i have always felt safe there, even at night.
the indians who appear arrogant or rude are usually the rich or well educated indians, from my experience.
that's from my experience of having spent about 3 years there.

dislike perhaps, but not hate. I am sure even if you ask most hindus, they will dislike muslims too. the road flows both ways, not just one

Hindus are seen as passive and cowardly. Central Asians, Afghans and Arabs in particular have a culture and history that glorifies courage and gallantry. They view Hindus as submissive and very easily subdued. This is not true for all Hindus since Hindus did fight courageously against Islamic forces. However since Hindus became the subjects of various Muslim rules such thinking became prevalent. In contrast Sikhs are regarded highly for same reasons.

It should also be noted that the fighting Hindu caste was entirely assimilated into the Muslim faith from Afghanistan all the way to India. They later on became the Muslim expansionist forces that converted the rest (the entire Northern Indian region). Before Islam, most of the people in these regions, from Afghanistan to Pakistan, were either Buddhists or Hindus. Except for a few pockets that were Shamanists.

I find indians from UP/Bihar very rude, many of them have Bhaiya attitude, as if they are better then other people

90% of MQM in Karachi is also made of UP/Bihar people and they also show the same attitude against others, Usually south indians, bengalis and even indian punjabies are nicer

i also, can only say from my experience karachi. i twice been to the south recently and spent 2 years in the north in the 70s. no real problems.

^ obviously not all are bad, but many. also i am judging them by the UP/Biharies we have in karachi, maybe in India they are nicer
