I have to think hard about the loyalties of my own people. Idk how many times I have heard "it's not all of them," then meet more of them.
You live in an isolated area my friend. If you were to live near me -- I'd take you around your own people and perhaps you could see different flavors of Afghans. Living in LI is not only rough but it's boring. If you are up for it, I can pick you up, and we can swing by "Da Mohahammadzyano Kalacha' and play some nice basketball with your fellow Afghans.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

I have lived in Queens for most of my life. I know the Afghan scenes (especially the 90's and early 00's) Not in Flushing but I did go from time to time. Everybody hated my cousin, he's the Peshaweri Paki. They disliked me cause I was with him. Even when am with my Kandari cousin playing with Afghans, I have never received any love from them.

      Another story

I remember the Afghan Imam, who did the funeral prayer services for my uncle. Bearded mid-age religous Afghan imam. Three months later he gets exposed as an NYPD informant, paid to spy on Afghans. He became some-what famous with the Najib Zazai fiasco.

In the 90's my pops had some money. He had lots of Afghans friends, hanging out all the time. When my pops went broke, the phones stopped ringing. The Afghans left us fending for ourselves. Not even my own Afghan grandmother/uncles wanted us to sleep over when we were homeless.

Flushing is where Afghans are mostly concentrated, so if you haven't balled in Flushing, then you haven't really experienced the variety of Afghan flavors. I know many "Peshawari Pakis" and none were hated bro. Wrora, it's hard for me to believe your Kandahari cousin won't receive love, because nearly Afghan you run into in Flushing is either Kandahari or Pashtun, the two largest soccer teams of Afghans, in NY, are full of em. How can he not be loved? No one disliked you bro. Like I said, allow me to give you a tour.

He is popular amongst all Afghans.

No, my Kandari cousin was/prob still is one of the most well-known dude. I used to go with him to play ball in Flushing Park. I stopped going because i felt like an orphan. No one wanted to by my friend, idk how much i looked like a sucker.

My Peshaweri cousin used to be tormented as a Paki, harassed even. He always scolds Afghan characteristics, but I always defend Afghans. Tonight, i finally realize that he speaks the truth.

Makawa andewala. Like I said, you can't judge millions based on a few experiences. No one should be harassed.

Take a deep breath, and smile. Afghans are your brothers.
