You cannot overdose on marijuana, and even if it did happen; the effects would be quite pleasant.

Salt on the other hand, can kill you.

When it makes you bull**** then it very much is haram in Islam. Even from a non Islamic point of view, if something prevents you from living a decent lifestyle then it's wrong. You don't need Islam to confirm that for you.
