I have typical Polish name Alicja, which has equivalents in English, French etc, but English/French spelling and pronunciations differ from the Polish one. Working in international team it took me a while to convince people that my name is Alicja, not Alice, Alicia etc. They learnt to write it correctly but never learnt to pronunce in the way I like. At least they tried.
