today.... dude was due for discharge... reviewed his blood work ... his CRP was creeping up from 94 to 113... I put a stop to that discharge... examined him knee was ok ( he had been admitted for knee arthroscopy and lavage ) his catheter bag ( he had prostate Cancer so had a long term in dwelling cathter in situ) look gunky... he looked as white as a sheet... quickly cannulated him re did his bloods... CRP came back at 220! WCC 14.5! put it down to UTI secondary to catheter so started him on IV ertopenam with a stat Dose of Gentamycin... plus all this other crap going on the wards...Frater aliquis in fide nec fratrem humanitatis
