      I saw her post, and I did not reply wa alaikumus salaam.

      Masha Allah, she fulfilled the sunnah by saying salaam and you topped that by replying.

      May Allah reward both you infinitely.

        I saw her post, and I did not reply wa alaikumus salaam.

        Masha Allah, she fulfilled the sunnah by saying salaam and you topped that by replying.

                  Our beloved Imam Hadhrat Muhammad (saw) has said that when someone says: "Assalamu Alaikum"

                  he gets 10 rewards

                  The person replying should say: "Wa Alaikumus Salaam Wa Rahmatullah"

                  he get 20 rewards

                  The person who started the greeting should reply: "Wa Alaikumus Salaam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu"

                  he get 30 rewards

                  The other person should then reply (and this is rarely used): Wa Alaikumus Salaam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Wa Maghfiratuhu"

                  he would get 40 rewards
