Chose Psychiatry but am opting out of that in favour of either CMT (Core medical training/internal medicine) or GP.... if I go down the CMT line i will sub-specialise in GUM (Genito urinary medicine)

ummm dont mind Medical shifts... Love it and love nights... I am a driven person... the Med reg is always impressed... Psychiatry is very stressful believe me and the exams (MRCPsych) are the hardest of any speciality....
I can do lumber punctures, chest drains, deal wit septic patients blah blah blah easily but dealing with mentally unwell people is very very difficult for me...
lol yea I do locums in my spare time... my friend who was in same yr as me and graduated with me didnt specialise this year and chose to do a locum job till she got her head together (she was going through personal stuff) works 4 days a week as the cardiology SHO at Queen Elizabeth in Birmingham and makes AFTER tax £5000 a month
