  • The stereotypes about different Pashtun areas and tribes

I know Pashtuns of different areas have stereotypes for each others e.g., about the Buner Pukhthana the others used to say they are very kam-aqal and kind of gullible and rather had storys about that.

But practically, I have found Bunairyan to be an incredibly intelligent and creative people...really likely more creative than those sorrounding them.

    Hahahaaa...why these stereotypes?

Toramana... it always has some historic background.
They have been simple people no doubt and good pakhtun people no doubt...
The more you become educated and intermingled with different types of people the more you become clever and deceiving.
So the people of Buner have been saada people, uneducated, not much aware of the moder world, old traditions still there.
But now they are becoming educated and becoming more aware of the modern world so now they becoming clever... I wish you were there 40 years back so you would also say those stories that are about them.

Laghmanis are sterotyped to be very chalaki and 'have played with shaitan'. Wardakis are sterotyped to be foolish and dumb. I have been shown in Kabul that their universities have many Laghmani and Wardakis in all their administrations and departments.

yes, Thana supplied female teachers to places as far as Dir and Kabal etc. until other areas became self-sufficient....It is partly due to this reason as well that they were called bazaryan....Probably, other people were jealous of them...

                      Hahaha...they call saaba as "saabu"....

NO, its not a matter of jealousy but education makes one free minded and azaad khyaal thats why people consider them like da khazo ghulamaan... lol

Regarding stereotype, our khel is considered to be very conservative and backward but at the other hand it is considered a ghairatmand and brave khel.
Even i am only second boy in my khel who has been to England Lol.

what do they say about mohmands?
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
