    Salam O Alykum

Many of us have been taught to be kind as a child.
However in the business of daily living, somehow along the way some of us have lost touch with extending kindness to others.

Recall when's the last time you've been kind to someone else.
It usually didn't involve some big acts of sacrifice, but rather little acts kindness like opening a door for someone,
throwing a stranger a cheerful smile, swallowing an unkind word,
    saying a sincere compliment.
Yet kindness inevitably warms up the heart of both the giver and the recipient.

We may not all be set out to be great people, but each of us has a choice
to practice and exercise simple daily acts of kindness that so enrich ourselves and our lives.

When you carry out acts of kindness you get a wonderful feeling inside.
It is as though something inside your body responds and says, yes, this is how I ought to feel.
    So Always Be Kind
Because Kindness gives birth to kindness ...!

If you are always kind , others will take it as a sign of weakness. Too mch kindness can be a bad thing.

            WalaikumAsalaam.

The other amazing thing about kindness is that, you might be doing something that takes very little energy or time .. like opening a door for someone, but you could make a strong impact on that other person. What if you open the door for someone and that cheers them up? Or makes them realize that there are still gentlemen (for those men) in the world.. or what if it is a non muslim and you have a muslim look (whatever that may be) and you open the door for them and that helps change their perception a little... You'd be surprised how a small act can go a long way.

I agree, there does need to be more kindness in the world but MGM is right. Ppl will take it as a sign of weakness and then start walking all over you and taking advantage.

it's sad how people who don't even know the difference between being a human doormat from being kind start giving lectures on kindness.
Also what you do for others is meant to stay between you God and them. Don't advertise it.
