well people vote for people they want to rule over them, this obviously exists in democratic nations. the extent to how much power is actually behind the scenes varies. if a state is independent then it doesnt matter if its a dictatorship or democracy, the rulers arent puppets. but if the state is subordinate to another power, dictator or elected president...it doesnt matter.

no one controls our fate but Allah, but here on earth regarding earthly things that effect our day to day lives, of course leaders have a profound effect on these things.

it varies from nation to nation. some nations are independent and others arent.

democracy is a system within a system, democracy in the west is within the system of secularism. a democracy in an islamic nation which upholds islamic law and values would be just fine. its simply choosing the best person to uphold these values. democracy is a fine man made system of governance, the problem is when people confuse the system as being some divine gods gift to man. it goes both ways too, the westerners who think democracy should rule the world, and the muslims who are opposed to it because they think of it as a western ideal. both sides are wrong, as westerners dont want to push democracy, but rather secular democracy and muslims are confused in thinking that democracy can only be secular. remember what happened when hamas won legitimate elections? the west regrets pushing democracy to the palis. thats what haapens when u take public opinion as the basis of the legitimacy of ur party(hamas) without sacrificing islamic values.

International banks and IMF are actually remote control devices in hands of the super powers... The super power use these devices to keep the poor countries under their control. They give loans on heavy interest rates to the poor countries and those countries then can't pay back those loans and ultimately they become slaves of of these Banks and these banks then force their own policies on the poor countries... They interfere in the internal financial matters of the nations.
Consequently people can't even think with their own free will.
