  • in 3?

    Asalaam Alaikum Everyone =)

Just curious, where does this "Everything happens in 3" superstition come from ? I am not sure what to call it other than a superstition at this point.

What do you guys think about it?

I feel like something along those lines occurred today, so I was just wondering if it was true.... or if it was just my imagination outlining it to fall into a favor of 3.

LOL no no, I mean when for example three good events occur a day, or 3 bad events... basically three good/bad things one after the other.

Now you are not looking for a 3rd wife, are you?

I know what you mean....this is the best way to explain it.

          For example,

If I go to the Casino,

I am bound to win money (1goodthing) run into a pretty guy(2nd good thing)have fun supposedly(3rd good thing)

If I walk in a street at 3am

I am bound to trip and fall (1badthing) I am bound to get robbed(2nd bad thing)I might even find a taxi(3rd bad thing)

            That makes sense ...

But Gulmini can you further explain what you mean though...
Three bad things happened to me today ... and like I just remember ppl always referring to this phrase of .."things come in three." Although you can always change three bad things into three good things, as things could have been worse.

So choose your option,(The options can be changed contextually depending on where you are)

I can give a ton of examples.

Usually at work it happens alot, You might get a promotion following 3 good things.
You might get fired, following 3 bad things.
You might get yelled at and etc

exactly, but I guess it all goes back to probability and how our minds interpret things.

I see you are demanding huh?
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
