lol, weird it is. maybe mrghatmiyashey needed some encouragement.Originally posted by -Gulalai View Postidk this thread is weird im out of here lol
on the topic of haram, how many guys would "honestly" prefer a unibrow girl over one who threads and has a neat face? you wouldn't look twice at a hairy girl regardless of how religious you are. so better not say anything than tell a fib.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

on the topic of haram... it's not haram to pluck/thread/what ever you prefer between the eyebrows (if you have a unibrow) because technically its not the eyebrow, its the bridge of the nose. & if its abnormally bushy then its okay to pluck but doing it just to shape th eyebrows would be considered a bad thing to do.
i dont know whether or not it's haram to "neaten" it up but if people are unsure then they should stay on the safe side
ok now i'm really out of here (:

if ur significant other (your husband) prefers it that you pluck your eye brow, then it is permissible. ideally (Islamically as well) a woman should beautify herself only to attract her husband towards herself... so it is permissible to take certain actions just to please your husband... of course that too within boundaries..

why would brows be specific in the description of beautifying? getting rid of a unibrow is also a form of beautifying, is it not? either all forms of plucking/threading on the face should be allowed or none allowed, or it defeats the reasons behind it being haram.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

^Not really. There are certain specifics (exceptions) in Islam. General rule is that every worldy action is halal unless it is stated otherwise [Which goes hand in hand with every form of Ibadah is haram unless stated otherwise] - and eyebrows are stated otherwise. Many scholars dont consider the hair inbetween the eyebrows as part of the eyebrows so they deem it permissible to remove the hair in that area. Otherwise, everything else on the face/body is permissible to remove because there is no specific evidence to state that it is forbidden. And ofcourse, Allah knows best
