I'd never heard it before, but, yeah, it is a Pashto name according to the list of female names that Khyberwatch.org provides.

Roshina (روشينه) = One who gives light. It's to be the name of my first daughter, ka khairee.

LOL. Well, if I'm never blessed with any daughters, then I will go ahead and name one of my sons, if I'm blessed with them, "Rokhaan" ... but then again, I don't like any name that has difficult letters like "kh" or "qaaf" in them, so I'm not sure about that. AND I don't like the "Roshaan" version of that name 'Tis okay - there are plenty of good, meaningful boy-names, so when/if the time comes, I'll look into them a bit deeper, haha. For now, here's to praying that the first child is a female so I can name her "Roshina" Or my next niece, who knows.
