  • Threats/duel challenges from forum members

I have noted in pashtuns on forums that they would frequently challenge you to fight face to face and would ask for your address. Have you ever recieved such kind of interesting challenges or you can say challenge to duel?
As i am a pro-pakistani pashtun so through out e-life i have been insulted and called names. And for some reason some pashtuns have asked for my address to teach me a lesson. I find such threats very amusing and for testing i have given my genuine address to them. The first challenge was from a shinwari, who in order to win hearts of afghans, asked my address so that he will shut my traitor mouth forever. After some thinking i gave him my real address and said that i would be waiting for him. He did'nt come, later he became my friend on that forum. I was young and immature, i thought he had guts. I gave him the address of my house in lakki marwat. The thing is that people in our entire mohallah are relatives of each other where outsider is questioned for his presence there. While i am a shareef and civilized parhako student, my cousins are under educated and are notorious for fights, guns and loafery. I told them that if they ever spot a shinwari there, then dont kill him just beat him.
On this forum i have recieved threats from two members. I have forgetton name of first member, he was afghan from canada and here he got notorious for speaking ill of roshina. As usuall he noticed pakism in me and asked my address to teach me manners. I think he was a teenager. I gave him address of peshawer to which he said that he would come to peshawer next year and then would pay me visit. To scare him i PMed him that my father is in ISI and when you will arrive in peshawer, ISI will kidnap you and then will torture you. It was hilarious, he became scared and told me not to message me again.
The second duel challenger was gadoonwal as soon as he discovered that i am a persistant dhaalkhor ,he PMed me to give me address or come to his swabi. For tease i asked him to come to abbotabad army cantt. He called me coward for involving pak army lol
gadoonwal lives in pakistan and it was very stupid of him to challenge me like this. He should know that educated person like me wont pick such fights and if i was serious things may have turned ugly for him as indeed i know high officials from intelligence.

Am in favor of old American style duels the politicians used to do in the 18 and 19 centuries, and the cowboys did in the 20th.

Face each others back, walk three steps and fire

I was threaten one time for beating someone in Yahoo pool several times, he got all upset and wanted to kick my ass. He asked for my address, and I gave him a random one in Coney Island, Brooklyn. I wonder if he came through.

^lol. i have read too much about this in novels... but i prefer the old style fist fight... no guns involved...

no i haven't been challenged, but i do, sometimes, wish i could see some members in some forums, face to face, so i could slap them... tht wish only last a few minutes.

LOL. I find them very amusing as well. I received one recently, and it was a joy. It was a confirmation of the fact that I am doing something worth doing, something great, as my friends put it. It was from a kid who thought I was "jealous" of him because he goes to one university and I go to another How innocent is that? I have to admit that was epic; it'll always make me smile. (Oh, and it wasn't a death threat or anything like that. Those, I expect, will be coming in a few years' time, though. All honest people who are involved publicly get them. For many, they become real. Time will tell which threats are real and which ones are not.)

Anyway, they'll come and go. We all have people who support us and people who oppose us. Only cowards, only beghairata Pukhtaana would issue threats against another individual -- and that even claiming to be upholding "Islam." Ahhh, the ironies of life! They give life a whole new purpose, don't they.

My advice? Keep standing up for what you believe is the truth; keep fighting those who oppose your divine right to form your own identity. If they can do it, why can't you? For people who attack Pukhtuns who consider themselves Pakistan, I recently wrote a little message that most readers misunderstood and completely missed the point -- but that may be because I didn't express myself well enough. For those who want to understand, they should have no problem, however. It's called "My Message to Pakistan-Bashers who claim to be fighting for Pukhtuns' rights: Know your people!"

Basically, tell 'em to go to hell. OR you could just smile and say, "Thank you for your opinion. I beg to differ." That irks many, I've discovered.

Life is too precious for us to be ruining it for our own selves by threatening others. Grow up, be a Pukhtun, have some ghairat, and stop living in anger. It harms only you, no one else. And threatening is never, ever an appropriate, decent, or the right way of making a point or conveying a message. Use your brain to come up with something more intelligent to express your feelings in opposition to someone, rather than by telling them you'll do this and that if they don't stop doing what they're doing.

I would'nt think of harming some one like this, gadoonwal's heart is sad for pashtuns, i respect that. i am of very non-violent nature and i have always avoided useless physical fights. What i want to say is that people should be careful e-world. challenging people blindly like this is great stupidity. I am not straight forward like pashtuns, i know the ways to suffer people without directly involving myself.

Unfortunately pashtun society is very violent and shareef people are taken as weak. I remember when i got admission in medical college, a room in hostel was alloted to me. The next day two bunerwals who were senior students came to my room and asked me gave the room to them otherwise they would teach me a lesson. I got worried as i was fresh and junior student. After some thinking i phoned my cousins to help me. Dozens of them rode on flying coach on same night with pistols and tommarow they reached hostel. When i saw pistols with them i got more worried. I plead to my cousins not to beat bunerwals as it would endanger my academics. So they just threatened the guys.
After that i was never bothered by them. Even a medical student like me had to resolve things like this

this luffy is doing nothing more but eagerly trying to cause rift between pukhtane.
Everytime when people are getting to some kind of common ground he brings up pakistanism and how pakistan is the soul of Pukhtane and jinah being their father.

My advice to my Pukhtane brothers is WATCH OUT FOR DE NASTOREY MARAN,CUZ THEY ARE WORSE THAN YOUR ENEMIES.
i just saw somne old threads and it seems his tactics are the same over and over again.

                            @Roshina
I have just read your blog "a note to bashers of pakistan". I liked it. People here want me to hate punjabis and other pakistanis, What kind of docter i would become for my punjabi and other pakistani patients. I have plans of doing house job in punjab and i am sure majority of members here will label me as punjabized paki for this.
