Stupid dream last night that I got ticketed for jaywalking.

I recommend that everyone, without exception,
say a prayer before sleep to ask for Shaitan and all
Shaitan's representatives to be blocked.

All nightmares are planted by Shaitan to upset humans.

If you have nightmares, you especially need to request
extra help to avoid these upsetting experiences.

If Manzareh returns, I wonder if he can tell us the first dream about
the Prophet that he does remember - that would be edifying and inspiring.

emkhan's correct about video games, I would say skip them all -
they plant evil figures into the brain.

Never watch a movie or read unsettling material late at night, to
avoid these bad experiences.

When I was young I would learn how to pray before going to sleep and worked on remembering the necessary surahs and kalime with my brother. Was told that if before sleeping I recited what I learned, then Shaytan wouldn't invade my dreams and turn them into nightmares.


Anyway I became so used to it that now I cannot sleep without reciting Al Fatiha in my head beforehand

Can honestly say i've never had a single nightmare for many years.

i almost never get nightmares. i could probably remember one or two since i was a child. i do love dreaming though. i wouldn't want to get rid of them at any cost even if they were disturbing. would you chop off your hand all of a sudden because it's no longer attractive or pleasant looking?? like, why be a coward?

Yes, it is recommended to recite Surah al Ikhlas, Surah al Falaq and Surah an Nas before sleeping.

Maybe your comments will remind others who may have
gotten lazy or made excuses to avoid saying these all
essential prayers.

Sleep should be restorative, especially from the modern world's
chaos. So any disruptions whatsoever can affect one's mood
for the entire next day ; like seeing some monster.

Even seeing one's dead family may not be that comforting.
They shouldn't really show up in your dream.

Better to shut the door on them and ask for angels to give advice,
in my opinion.

Had a scary dream , sometimes I feel blue or scared to sleep . Still I prefer sleeping on my own in the dark .

I have got the strangest dreams every night, ever. I don't always remember them but I do remember that it was a whole load of bullsh*t I dreamt about. In my teenage years I used to have such beautiful and 'peaceful' dreams, which just stopped happening completely!
