  • need help with ketabtoon.net

    Salamoona de we tolo ta,

I started http://www.ketabtoon.net about few years ago and had lots of spare time but not many books. I tried to add as many books as I could and eventually ended up adding around 105 books.

It has been over 8-9 months now that I haven't even logged in to the admin section of the site. I am really really busy with loads of other stuff.

If any body familiar with web designing or Joomla can help me adding more books to the site and keeping it up to date, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you

    * http://www.sahaar.net (formerly known as "wolasnews.com") - has been dead as well, but I need a team of professional journalists. I used to have 5/6 journalists working with me, but I didn't have time to add the news myself.

I have a bunch of e-books in Pashto I could give you. Had you told me earlier, I would've gave them to you in Toronto.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

      -Ferishta, 1560–1620

We can share the e-books online as well. However, I need some one's help in adding those books to the site and keeping it up to date.

My original plan was to turn it into an e-library and at the same time an online informational database regarding all the Pashto books that have been printed - like add the name, author, date published, if it is a translation of a foreign book, who the original author is, what language it was translated from (so we don't end up translating the same book multiple times by different people) and stuff like that.
