thought you were angry at me. i believe like you that the war is s*** and has been based on a false premise. the prime minister we had at the time that australia went to afghanistan was a right wing white supremecist. no question about that. the succeeding ones, probably the same but not as overt about it.

Faye, had Nato not intervened, Alqaeda,ISI,Taliban would have took over the whole of Afghanistan. You can use any excuse you want, but at the end of the day, what happened to Alqaeda and the government of Taliban when Nato attacked and assisted the Afghan forces?

Do you support barbaric medevil practices in Afghanistan, or would you help those who want to modernise and reform the country so the whole world would benefit, or would you allow Islamist militant groups who have an global agenda of turning the world to Islam and using Afghanistan their HQ and base with ISI Pakistan Army giving the training and instructions?

I personally think the Nato attack was a Blessing both Politically and Regionally.

1) If Taliban were not overthrown, Afghanistan would have became a Terrorist Hub
2) If Nato did not attack, Pakistans ISI would have remained for life i.e Operation escape in kuduz where Pakistan army took 6000 of its ISI and Army operatives out of Afghanistan before American struck.
3) Bin Laden, and his Arab henchmen would have totally taken over Afghanistan both culturally and imperialise Arabisse the regions cultures.
4) Afghanistan would have became the epic centre and settlemetn of Arab rejects from their Arab countries

Obviously, its expected to see a few loose cannons, but over all, not every soldier is the same, I am amazed at times at their tolarance and help they provide to people, Taliban recently cutt off the ears of two civil workers, why was unknowinprince and graveyard silent on the issue? why was the Taliban silent on the issue?

Nato saved the region from becoming another puppet state of Pakistan.

The only people suffering due to the Nato arrival, is the PAKISTANI STATE AND ITS PROXIES.

Racism does exist in Australia but not everyone is racist -- Just read about "Pauline Hanson", "The Cronulla Riots", etc. One should take into account that Pauline Hanson had 22% of public support for her policies... which is quite a lot when one considers the small Australian demographics.

These few soldiers have trashed all the work Australia has done in Afghanistan so far and have put every Australian soldier in danger. I don't blame them though, I mean, it must be frustrating for them to be fighting a war, that isn't theirs. I mean, people from Afghanistan have done nothing against Australia, but, have even helped Australia build their outbacks. So instead of taking their frustration on the government, they try to intimidate innocent civilians and use racial slurs, so they can feel better. It would best to put all of them in prison, so to teach others. But I doubt that, they will jail them.

FORMER defence chief General Peter Cosgrove says the controversy over offensive Facebook comments posted by Australian soldiers in Afghanistan needs to be kept in proportion.

He said the soldiers responsible and the defence force should not only be judged by the comments, but also by what they did every day in their work, reported the Herald Sun.

"Some soldiers who have been silly in posting these silly disreputable comments are also putting their lives on the line for ordinary Afghans," he said.

if america has supposedly got so much power and is supposedly hand in hand with pakistan and the arabs, even said to be in control of them, then why could all of what you claim would happen, not have been dealt with outside of afghanistan? the innocent are suffering for the games of the big players and their land will, in many instances be useless as it will be so polluted from the toxic pollution left there by the invaders.

Why are you playing the guessing game. Do you enjoy tormenting your brain? Day dreaming, wet dreaming... about the "GREAT" nato... who also happened to be killing innocent civilians in Afghanistan. You must think, this is all a joke. Don't you... maybe because you don't live in the war zone, and have experienced it; maybe because haven't lost someone close to you.. maybe because your house is not being bombed on daily basis... or maybe because you haven't been a victim of their night raids, but the people of Afghanistan are victimized on daily basis.

What started the riots was the assault on the lifeguards.... and the media stirring things up. I don't think.. it had nothing to do with all what you are referring to, the story of the rapes were long gone...and the media somehow tried to put it all together to spice things up.

The Bashing of Indian students is quite a fresh one. I am not in favor of calling "Australia" racist, but, some percentage of the population is racist, which is quite evident from all these cases.
