Richard had at least two guys to back him up, the guy holding the camera and the guy who got into Casey's face near the end. Thus it seems very unlikely that Casey was bullying Richard when Richard was walking around with two friends and Casey was alone.

You are right, that was actually the case.

Obviously the kid who recorded knew that Richard was going to bully Casey, otherwise why else would he have the phone/camera ready to go. So it does seem he was Richard's sidekick.

Even though i dont believe in violence as an answer.....Richard did deserve it. He was bullying Casey, now we dont know why, but clearly evidence shows that he started it, and Casey didnt do anything at first. Then Richard himself started to instigate it, and notice the person recording it too.

But apparently, Casey got suspended and Richard did not. Which is not right at all. Richard should have gotten suspended for 5 school days, and i think if Casey was going to get suspended too (like most schools do) then 3 school days.


The kid who recorded should have also gotten suspended, since that is usually law when a fight was recorded.....well at least here in California that is the law.

He could have crippled that weasel for life with the way he smashed him on the floor. Aggressive behavior should never be encouraged nor should bullying be tolerated. It is a lesson learned on both sides.
Whatever punishment one gets for standing up against a bully or to defend one's right is to be taken with pride as it is totally worth it. Good for him.
