  • Of stinkyness, skiny-ness, dal khori, etc....

    Hi all, pa khairuna...

Naway call nowroz mo ombarak sha...

Ok now coming to the point, some members here have this image about the Pashtuns of KPK to be kind of smelly or stinky (badbodara), dal khors (bean-eaters), skiny (nari-pairi) etc. I don't know whether this is a general observation in people of Afghanistan about Pashtuns of KPK or is just a temporary outburst of disappointment...

I know that a lot of Pashtuns are going through these feelings of helplessness seeing bad things happening to them but not being able to do any thing about that and due to disappointment/disillusionment with each other, direct their rage at each other...In my opinion, this is just a temporary outbusrt of rage not a permanent disliking for each other....

I want to know whether this is general image of KPK Pashtuns....I have sort of got sensitive to such things...This time when I will go to KPK I will look at people more thoroughly as they really appear skiny or smell due to spicy eating etc.

Anyhow, the purpose of this thread is not to evoke controversy ...Kindly, don't descend into this or that kind of Pashtun---keep it informed and academic....What is your personal observation...What is the general impression....?

Last night this quable happened in another thread and that was kind of very offending/repulsive to fine senses... If such thing happened and member couldn't take this thing lightly, then I will request admins to delete this thread entirely....

I have never in my life heard someone say such a thing. I haven't observed it either.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

anyone who shows bias on such superficial grounds as what others eat, unless referring to cannabilism, is childish and should just be ignored.
