now countries like China/India are actually building their countries and societies, look how much they have advanced and have become world superpowers, where are the gulf countries?? 90% of their income is based from oil and once oil is gone, they are done

gulf countries are diversifying their economies. its hard to get off oil when there are no other natural resources.

u cant compare large countries with a billion plus populations with small arab nations, except saudi arabia.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Even at that China and India are still basically poverty stricken and minimal at best infrastructure; their economic weight is centrally because they have lots of people.

The focus however is not the issue of poverty; because let's be honest here, current economic standards of measurement are defined by largely artificially imposed conditions.

but destitution becomes self fulfilling prophecy , bu resource becomes diverted because of such policy, and despite the huge populations, they live in squalor.

I am not saying my figures are right, i never claimed that, but all i am saying is that there are lots of rich saudis out there, I have lived there so i know, ofcourse saudi is not as rich as UAE or Kuwait, but still is very well off. Heck even my whole family became so spoiled living there thats its not even funny, i regret the things we use to there there now, thats why i am saying these things

also by cultural i dont mean that (arab) culture is like this, by culture i mean the materialistic culture that has been created in the last 30-40 years of oil wealth in the gulf states, so this culture i am talking about is new, its not part of their traditional culture, however it is part of their youth culture now.
That's exactly the point, I have the most bare minimum standards of wealth; the Saudi Wealthy clearly make more than 100,000 dollars.

You were making wide spread interpolations of what's actually happening there.

Now you're adjusting your comment again, but now your comment seems more in line with what I was saying before

But the point was you went from making it a majority to now making it into an ever dwindling minority.

We're in agreement that the wealthy of most societies tend to squander resources. I would however argue they do so in very similar manners.

The problem with anecdotal information is that anyone can add/embelish with whatever description they want. I can tell you the decadence you see with Saudi Royals is just as evident here in America. and it's true.

        the issue is materialism itself.

^ well i still say that the wealthy over there are much more spoiled then the wealthy over here in Canada or america, Here in north america everyone is a citizen and he has to follow rules and regulations, but over there a rich person can do anything he wants

Since the topic is about food, saudi arabia has one of the highest rates of obesity in the world, i think it is in top 5 countries, how do you explain that??? As soon as you land on any saudi airport, you will notice how fat the people there are and their fatness has made them one of the laziest people in the world, thats why they rely on outside workers to do so much of the work there, 40% of saudis are unemployed because either they have no skills or they are just to lazy to work

well what ever diversification has taken place over the last 50 years, its almost nothing, because still 90% of their economy is based from oil, i mean they have no manufacturing power, no techinical power, not education power, no scientific power etc... They dont produce anything but oil, so once the oil is done, then they are done.

^ even i use to that there, even much worse, but here in canada i realised not to take for granted so many things. Canada seriously has made me much better person . Living there you are basically part of the materialistic culture and you follow the trend

anyways speaking of saudi royals, they are still so popular in the kingdom, they have huge support, despite everybody knowing how corrupt and unislamic they are, it almost feels like nobody wants change there, except maybe a few people
