There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

i am a comic book nerd

superman comics are sometimes boring, but they sometimes have some real gems.

those pages are from lex luthor man of steel. they were 5 issues told from the perspective of lex luthor who is supermans greatest enemy.

its supposed to be serious! lol

lex luthor hates superman because he is an alien and believes that superman is taking away from human potential. he is depressed because superman ends up on top and wishes he could have the power that he has but he cant because he is just a human.

reminds me of the graphic novel, superman red son where instead of landing in america, he lands in the soviet union and ends up working for the government. the soviet union becomes the sole super power but superman realizes that he is an alien and shouldnt alter human events. he leaves earth thinking that although he did the right thing, mankind will eventually destroy itself. superman returns to earth thousands of years later walking as a normal person in a crowd to find a utopia and a world filled with human advancement. he realizes he did the right thing by leaving.

superman was created by a jew. Remember the story of moses...get's put into a basket and sent off on a river? he get's revelation from a shining bush/crystal from one who knows his true destiny...in the desert/fortress of solitude. His true family name is El (Kal-El) El from Elohim (Allah). The name "Superman" is a direct translation of "ubermensch". The creators of superman originally had him appear as a villain based on Neitzhche's ubermensch concept. Ironically, Nietzsche's ubermensche is more of a man, because he surpasses the inferiority complex that posses men in the form "humanity"...but superman, who is capable of doing anything he wants, chooses to live like inferior beings and adopt the moral shackles that were imposed on him by society. He serves a government that he knows is corrupt, and preserves the status quo risking even the destruction of the world. He even imposes those law created by the inferior men upon himself even...which laws according to Nietzsche serve no other function but to make slaves of the people. Yet, comically enough, Lex Luther, the arch rival of superman, is an ordinary man who has only one moral code: the will to power. He does what he has to do to get where he wants. He is the real man who risks his own life for getting what he wants, but he will always be seen inferior to Superman...who got all that he has just by simply being born! (hint: talmudic)

Personally, I like batman.... his creator was also jewish btw. Compare metropolis (smallvile) to gothom city...the former is a clean city with law abiding citizen but the later is filled with corrupt people and is always dark and gloomy. Batman doesn't give a crap about laws and maintaining the status quo...he chooses to shape it up himself and beat the crap out of those who stand in his way...when he could just as easily move to metropolis and do what luther does. So if you compare batman to superman...the real ubermensch is batman....where as superman works to maintain moral order, batman brings moral order.

The greatest show(s) ever are the Wire, the Shield, and Firely (Sopranos and Rubicon on the list as well).

i once painted a huge mural of a jungle with the phantom, batman and wonderwoman in it. the figures were about 2 and half metres high. it was at a kids drop in centre.
the graphics have way improved in these comic strips. i don't recall superman ever having untidy hair, in the old days.haha..

I completely forgot that Stan Lee was a Jew.

Congratulations, you made me hate Marvel comics.

old post. but if you want to see what a badass batman could really be, read flashpoint: knight of vengence. its based in a world where bruce wayne's dad survived while bruce and his wife died during the mugging. the elder wayne becomes batman but has no problems killing criminals. its pretty awesome.

even makes the real batman cry at the end, but not in some sappy way. if he hadn't cried you'd expect something to be seriously wrong with him.
