                      Trooper is an English word.

                      Pakistanified Pashtuns use it quite often because many Pakistani Pashtuns have been loyal servants of British troops in the past and are now loyal servants of the Punjabi army.

                      They consider "trooper" as a compliment. It means comrade.

                              @khorasani

                              Bring some evidence that the afridis adopted it from Brits.

                              I seriously doubt it because afridis speak pure Pashto.

                              I have many Kuki Khel afridi friends. Despite the fact that Kuki khel are the most isolated branch of Afridi from Pakistani influence, even they use many Urdu and English words.

                              I learned the "trooper" word from them.
