I can speak pashto fluently, in my own dialect atleast.
With the 'formal' pashto, I can understand/speak most but not all of it.
Regarding other dialects, well before I came to PF I had virtually little to no knowledge of the other dialects. Over my time here I learnt much in that regard.
My reading has also significantly improved, I can certainly read pashto script, it's just that I don't understand many of the words as it tends to be written in formal or foreign dialects.
Writing, my writing is actually pretty good, could be defintely be improved though.

I can read, write and understand it alright, but my speaking skills are rather limited because much of my direct family have largely lost the ability to speak Pashto. I can only put together sentences in the present and basic past and future tenses as I have little practice when it comes to grammar. I have knowledge of Pashto, but unfortunately, I am not able to converse with any fluency as yet. My vocabulary is not limited, but bad grammar prevents me from speaking the language of my ancestors. I am in the process of learning, however, and insha`Allah, I will.
I can read and write well, fluent in Yousaf Zai dialect, understand most of other dialect and some others if spoken in slow motion. I can do some خطاطې in Pashto and during 2011, learned and improved Pashto typing speed. Write articles, short stories and these days busy writing a novel. A collection of short stories, named قيصې ميسې has recently been published. At the same time striving to learn more because I lived most of my life, and still living far away from Pashto speaking society.
The end of Ignorance, is the beginning of Knowledge.
Knowledge has no end. It keeps expanding into the infinity.
