It was pretty warm today.Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Which budget cuts, lol. The teachers being cut? The tuition going up? Am just pissed because people from my graduate class, already received their Masters, while I just got my darn Associates DegreeOriginally posted by Admin Khan View PostSo what do you think of the budget cuts?
The last place you want to cut is the education. I hear Detroit has closed almost half their schools. What's the difference between that, and just plain old blowing it up?
In some NYC classrooms theirs 35-40 people in one room. I remember when I was a student, it was hard for a poor teacher to teach 25 NYC students, I can't picture the hell they go through trying 35-40. It's almost impossible for serious student to learn.
Now the cuts to the university, is just tragic. If the National, State, and local government don't want to pay the schools, why should the students? Am glad I will be attending SUNY Stonybrook, because the tuition is fare, and it's one of the top schools in the area/ state.
I just don't know anymore.
