I wish there was a section on this forum that was "Culture" or something in general -- "General knowledge" maybe? I don't know. And there, we could discuss the contributions of different ethnic/religious groups to the world. That way, no insecure and feeble-hearted beloved Pashtun brother/sister of ours would feel threatened if someone wanted to talk about the significance of Persian or Hindi or Urdu or another language they think they're supposed to hate.

It\'s good to know you accept your peoples insecurities. They are pretty horrible at it.

That was a dumb and uncalled for comment. The person is Persian, or appears to be. Let her/him be proud of her/his people for what they have contributed to the world -- just like lame you and me are proud of Pukhtuns even though we as individuals may have had nothing to do with their contributions.

My "people" are not insecure, and they're not "horrible" at anything. My people, just like all other people of the world, include both good and bad, both weak and strong, both confident and insecure. It just so happens that when they have the opportunity, the ones who are insecure amongst us (because it's not all, duh!) will start complaining about other ethnic groups who want to share some information about their people/history.

Avoid generalizing. Nobody likes it.

i am proud of the contributions of pashtuns who i am like minded to, that is my only link to these people. being of the same ethnic group of 10s of millions doesnt mean i take credit for the poetry of rahman baba. i am as proud of pashtun figures who were in the same in faith as i am arabs and persians and others. i dont post some bs of works as if i am linked to it because i happen to be from the same area.

Your people are insecure and for the most part they enjoy being backwards just look at Pashtun dominated south of Afghanistan and Pashtun dominated North of Pakistan. Both are backwards region visit ur country and you will see yourself.

My language has made people like you accept it\'s brilliance while we simply don\'t view your mountain language as on par with our Farsi. you Pashtun are forcing us to sing Pashto every day in school and you Pashtuns are forcing us to learn Pashto in Afghanistan.
