facebook is ok to keep in touch with people, but people who put all their info on there are idiots.

facebook is designed to get as much info as is possible from its many million members.

the world does not simply revolve around muslims, if that amanda from texas was wanted for questioning they would have an easy time tracing her down. if she is on vacation in xyz, they can track her down with comparably little effort than without the account she has on facebook. they would also know her friends, her phone number, school, what she is doing where at any given time. not only that, the majority of young persons around the world have a facebook account, even pakhtuns from rural villages have accounts or people from little nigerian villages. it is hard for me to think of a single person i know of from anywhere that has not heard of it or who does not have an account. it gathers all convos between a person and their friends, personal photos, all their status updates, the groups they joined, political affiliations/beliefs, religion, network, school, profile info into one simple, accessible platform, making it easier for authorities.


the point of facebook and the way its designed is such that you can not get away without revealing much info. you need a profile, you need to add friends, you need a network, your friends message and write on your wall, etc. so even if you don't update what you're eating or when you're taking a shower, what you're doing for the weekend every few seconds, you already have enough information revealed. the facebook admins do not tolerate "fake accounts" , you need real information posted.

what ever happened to privacy ?

It is probably somewhat true that intelligence agencies can/do use these things for profiling people, but it wouldn't be THIS BLATANT.

furthermore I doubt that face book is being used to assault people but rather keep people pacified with mind numbing rubbish. If the Illuminati (lol) is doing anything it would just be finding new ways to keep the masses pacified.
