that is not true zayam. pashtun men can be very encouraging and protective. not in the sense that they will tell you what to wear or who to speak with or how to speak for that matter but otherwise. i know this one that will even wipe your nose when you are crying. seriously, who will do that for a person like me.
they just have to grow up in a healthy environment and be taught better values i guess. that is something for the lack of which we can't blame our men. they grew up watching their fathers and uncles behave that way.

Yeah i agree.....pale is just not cute. I guess i am between a light tone and medium tone, more like olive toned.

But many i swear many Afghan families find 'lighter' skinned girls 'prettier'

Well, its odd, for some reason every Afghan I know, especially the females, use sun block at the highest SPF level and douse themselves in it. I was once with a Safi Khel family at an amusement park. They offered us sunblock to me and my sister. I asked them why do they burn and offered them data about how protective clothing and stay out of the sun at peak hours offers better riska gainst melanoma. They leaned in and said "No we have to avoid looking like Indians and Pakistanis!" I threw their sunblock in the kiddie pool.

For some reason, I am sure that the makeup companies love Afghan weddings as well because every Afghan girl comes to them caked in enough white make up to have covered Bozo for about 10 decades.

However, either pale of brown can have immense beauty depending on the character and, aesthetically, the features.

People do not understand that melanin is a blessing from God. It is a natural sun block of sorts. The only issue stems from possibly lower vitamin D levels at higher latitudes being the tradeoff.
