^ Haha If a man of that caliber would kill me I am ready to die !!
I never said that I don't belong to the ethnic group Afghan/Pashtun/Pakhtun? Where I said this quote me?
I wil go for Khushal Khan Khattak As em a Khattak plus I don't know anything about the other.
And I enjoy reading Khushal Khan's poetry love that
Za khushaal toora pa las kafan pa ghaara ba rapasam,
Ka khabar shwam che pakhtun da cha ghulam day !!
yao warokay ghwandi baagh ao pa khwa ye seen rawan!
the were both great people and great intellectuals, khushal baba was a great poet and warrior, was a big nationalis as well. beside all those qualities that khaushal baba had Pir khan had them too, plus pir rokjhan wa also a spiritual leader, believed in modernization of pashtun society, we certainly need a leader like him. I will go for Pir rokhan.
Both were great nationalist leaders of their time......There are many similarities between the two towering personalities.....Like: Both organised laskhars of different pukhtun tribes and fought with Mughal forces whom they considered a threat to pukhtuns and their culture.... Both worked for the promotion of Pukhto language.....both wrote many valuabe books that are considered an asset of pashto literature.....
It is difficult to choose one out of the two great men, yet I personally like Pir Rokhan for two reasons:
Firstly Besides his reputation as a revolutionary, Pir Roshan invented Pushto script thus ensuring the emergence of Pashto literature and writing, which enabled Khushal Khan Khattak, a century later, in his prolific contributions to Pashto poetry and prose for which Khattak is famous. He wrote his famous book Khair ul Bayan, the first book in pashto language and thus sowing the seed of pashto literature. Secondly, He not only faced the enemy in the battle field but also had to fight on the religious front. He had to counter the allegations and Fatwas leveled against him by the Paid Mullahs of that time...His rival AkhunDarvez declared him Kafir and and asked the Muslims to kill him where they found him as he is revolting against a Muslim ruler (i.e Mughals). The movement started by Pir Rokhan remained active until 1642 or some date and his sons and grandsons kept alive the struggle against the Mughals. Khushal Baba also took inspiration from Rokhani movement when he speaks for Pakhtuns from Attok to Kandahar...This was the period of evolution of Pakhtun nationhood. So Pir Rokhan is the Pioneer of Pakhtun nationalism. Later on Khushal baba took it forward and Mirwais Neku succeeded to found first Pakhtunn state.
