  • How is that possible??

We'd our relatives visiting us after a long time. I was wondering whether they were truly Kandaharis 'cause they couldn't speak Pashtu? The lady told me her father is Achakzai from Kandahar and mother Popalzai from Kandahar but she said they 're not Pashtuns? Apparently even in Kandahar they were speaking Dari since forever. Then I met another Popalzai who was fluent in Pashtu but said she's a Tajik fromm Kandahar?? Do Tajiks with Pashtun lastnames such as Achakzai and Popalzai exist??

there are actually dari speakers in Qandahar and they speak with an accent as if a pashtun is speaking dari.
    these people are mostly shia
watch this video skip to 1:50 and tell me their accent was like this.

There are tajiks/dari speakers in qandahar but most of them who don't speak pashtu are the ones who have lost their language.
See my father is from kabul but they strictly speak pashto in their home.. When people hear 'kabul' they assume he is a dari speaker...

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.
