  • ~ Role Models?

    Role Models.

Do you have them? Do you believe in having them? What have you learned from them, what have they done for you? Are they aware of their role in your life?
To what extent can they be productive? Do you think it promotes imitation and uniformity? Can one have a role model and still be unique?

    Discuss.

Daa zma lewanay Zrra gorah, daa sta lewanee Mina..
Za ba da Sahra warnakam da Iran pa Golestan,
Dalta za yao & yakta yam, halta zar zma pa Shaan

being a role model is portraying a form of perfection. the more of perfection is seen in someone/thing, the less attractive the idea of it becomes because the actual reality only comes to the front when it's seen in something so ugly that not even helping it would separate it from what it holds/represents.
since we are human beings, our role models would obviously be human beings and since human beings are able to observe and reflect, it's hard to tell if they have learned agreed or are willing to manipulate their reality for their own benefits/amusement.
i think it becomes imitation when we become obsessed with people and their personalities rather than the ideas they play with. on a personal level i think it limits us. if we spend all our lives following the footsteps of one or two people we admire so much, we might reach what they have achieved but never exceed that. sure, we know we are on the right path but is that all there is to life??

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

Luffy is my role model. My mom always says eating dhaal makes you smarter, and brother Luffy proves this theory.

            Thanks!

I eat dhaal with white rice, it's kinda hard for me to just eat it alone.

My mom always has these theories on why Indians are so smart, it feels good to know that she was right on the money

I don't have any role models in the conventional sense, if I have to point to a significant person I'd probably say my grandfather who came to the UK in the 50's with only the shirt on his back and basically worked his fingers to the bone whereby now his children, grand children and great grand children have a very good lifestyle due to their own progress both academically and socially, but he initially took the step of taking up the invite of work in a completely foreign land not knowing if he would ever return of see his family, friends or country again. Now that takes some guts.

Other than that, I believe life is one giant sh1t sandwich, and the more bread you have, the less sh1t you have to eat.
