Shaykh Sa'ood Ash-Shuraym said:
"When one compares the people’s condition during Ramadaan to that after it, they will see signs of negligence. In view of this, it becomes incumbent upon us to consider the reality of worship and its impact upon us.
You have tasted the sweetness of worship and closeness to Allaah in Ramadaan, do not therefore ruin that with your sins. Moreover, the continued observation of acts of worship or negligence in them is an indication of the inner-workings of the heart, for it is the most changeable organ in the human body. That is why the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: “The likeness of the heart is that of a feather in an empty plot of land, being blown over and over by the wind.”

why should we compromise with ourselves to be what the society deems acceptable? specially when we don't see anything worthy enough in it? so we can be accepted? i don't want to accept it the way it is. i don't want it to accept me the way i am. i have given it a reason, what has it given me?

People you once thought you could trust can end up betraying you in the most bitter ways.
When dealing with such people it is better to avoid suspicion & confrontation. They are simply no longer worth your time & effort.
Do not make the same mistake again, learn from your experience, but don't lose faith in all people.
Just because some have nothing better to do with their lives, that shouldn't mean that your own should be adversely affected as a result.
Just smile.---
To advise others is an easy matter, the difficulty is accepting advice -- since it is bitter for those who follow their
own inclinations and desires.
