Gender = Male.Originally posted by ScimitarXEdge View PostDear Forum Members, I've only been here a week and I've already experienced a gamut of differing aspects of the Pashtoon community globally here in 2010/nearing 2011.
I would like to know more about everyone here just so I have an understanding of the environmental dynamics that would contribute to their goals, mentality and perspectives on life.
What I would like for participants to do is give a brief description of yourself and things that matter to you the most.
Format should include
-Gender
-Age
- Ethnicity
- Religious Affiliation (if any)
-Family's Country of origin (it is acceptable if you say Pashtunkhwa/Khyber Pakhtunkhwa etc etc)
-Educational Background (if any)
- Hobbies/Interests
Age = In my twenties.
Ethnicity = Pashtun.
Religious Affiliation = Muslim.
Familiy's country of origin = Afghanistan.
Educational background = planning to get my Ph.D
Hobbies/Interests = Reading books, playing video games(occasionally), and learning more about the world.Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Well you did say it made 0 sense, if you actually understood what Ulos and Gran meant then it made 66% sense.
no not Sarrai, سړى that's not spelled the same way. it's spelled with a tse
To be honest I'm not sure precisely what Tsarrai means, I just know it's used as a greeting. It may have to do with traveling, riding? I'll ask.Last edited by ScimitarXEdge; 12-27-2010, 06:46 PM.
