I wish I lived in 19th-20th Century...what a great Century...great ideologies, great movements, great leaders like Gandhi, Bacha Khan, Nehru, Abul-Kalam Azad, etc...great revolutionaries e.g. Subash Chandarbosh, Baghat Singh,...great poets e.g. Tagore, Josh Malih Abadi, etc....great singers...great film artists, ...

no boundaries, you could start from Peshawar and go to kalkuta, Bombay, Dehli or Kabul, Mazar, and Bokhara,...ideas and art was for society not commercial commadtities...

Hahaha, very true Jasmine...actually, people idealize things according to their age...but the 19th-29th century ideals and struggles fascinate me a lot...

You are right Jasmine...May be in a decade time we get what we yearn for...I see Pashtuns getting sophisticated...It is to get momentum though and get qualitative....

I actually love the present. Apart from ongoing chaos in watan which would be great if it was over, I love the present status of science and society (at least in some areas of the world) and the understanding of human intellect, the mysteries of the mind finally opening up to analytic thought and rational reasoning. It’s for students of human cognition what the late 19th and early 20th century was for physics. A time of great insight and growth.

hmmmm..so i am not the only one thinking i was born in the wrong century. i wouldn't have minded the 1700s or the early 1800s either. heck, even the beginning of 19th century wasn't that bad.
i don't even know how to use the microwave or the dishwasher.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

as i always like to say MI6, trash ignored for a long period of time starts to stink real bad. it's not like any one else is going to refuse the doggy treats you throw at them occasionally here to get them to follow you around like an animal so who else will remind you of your actual position if i started ignoring you?

the place deep down in my heart is way to precious for me to allow my hatred for you in it.

                    LOL,
well someone once asked a khudai khithmadhgar (followers of Bacha Khan) why is he wasting his life following Bacha Khan. They asked him, 'Kaka- Bacha Khan kho Khan dhay, saba ba Bacha yee, zaka mandhi wai, kho tha sala zan pa azab karray dhay'

The guy thought for a while and then said. 'chi saba dha Bacha khan ba-cha-ii iiee no zaba seena jawar garzam' (If its Bacha khan's kingdom, I will walk with my chest out'.

I for one would not like to be in Ahmad shah's time or any other time in history. We romantacise these times, not realizing that nostalgia by definition is soothing, unrealistic and not based on fact or reason. To the majority of non Durrani pashtoons, Ahmad shah or nadir shah or any other shah would make very little difference. He would have plendered pakhtun cities if there were any, just happened that there were none.

We should develop a love of the future and a passion for guiding ourselves through lifes challanges with reason and intellect. For a better tomorrow, not a yearning for distorted recollections of yesterday.

I know what you are saying but I rather live under him then a Punabi or someone like Zardari, yes Bacha Khan was a great guy aswell, He didn't like Pakistan and I don't blame him.
But is a good pashtun is the ruler then I won't mind living under him and Ahmad Shah baba was great.
