  • Is this traditional Pashtun clothes?

It is traditional Afghan clothes. All ethnicities wear them. Though originally, it was worn by Kuchi people, which majority were Pakhtuns. Now it represents Afghan traditional clothes as a nation. There are many different styles of them, differing from province to province: Uzbeki, Kabuli, Kandahari, Kuchi,Nuristani, Mazari,Herati.

Very pretty color and design of the fabric.
Is it plum or a deep pink?

Either one looks much happier than red or maroon.
      That's my personal taste.

yeah except culturally it's not worn like that. i hate it when people put on the dress and never bother themselves with the trousers and scarf. that is no where in our culture. whenever i see that aunty from zarina's, i feel like breaking her jaw.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

Pashtuns of settled areas no longer use this dress. Grandmothers in lakki marwat still use this use but younger generation use shalwar kameez.
In waziristan all females still use this dress.
