mostly for girls that don't wear a hijab, and those girls are no different than any other girl walking in downtown los angeles. And, it shouldn't matter, shouldn't bother with our believes and costumes.Originally posted by eusuphxai View PostFor men its a personal matter, for girls a big big NO LOL
Da agha enjelai ba no tsa aqal wee chey pa geera bad wayee
It's like saying HIJAB is a big NO for some guys. And, that is true, up to most extent, in the west. A lot of westernized Afghans don't like Hijab, they call it the Arab culture.
Well, those girls that despise beard belong to the same families where the men despise Hijab.

Yea i have trouble finding men masculine without them having a beard. Grow one. It's Sunnah.
Something like this..

Or like Admin Khan posted:

It's not necessarily about taste only.. See, it's an identity-issue. For example our MSA president.. you see from 2 miles away, you KNOW he is Muslim by the way he dresses (modestly), his beard, and the way he carries himself (head held up high, lowered gaze etc.)
When I see some Afghan guys on campus.. I am usually lost whether they are Afghan (based on their facial features) or Hispanic/Western (based on the way they dress and carry themselves). It is quite sad.. it's like a Hijab, it's a statement you're making "Hi, I am Muslim; I say it loud and I say it proud."

Ayub Khana. In view of your unceasing intellect, I'm sure you know exactly what I mean by a 'lowered gaze'. It doesn't necessarily imply that you never ever look up, walk into poles and are fixated on staring at the ground - but rather means that maybe you don't break your neck looking after women, maybe you look at the ground when woman walks by, maybe you have some shame and keep to yourself. That is what I meant and I am sure that this discussion on your behalf isn't about a lowered gaze or a grown beard but rather has other, more subtle, implications.
